With safety and lives at stake, it is imperative that technicians test an aircraft’s survival equipment prior to flight. Stratus Systems produces a range of testers to ensure the proper function of aircraft communications systems and survival equipment.
DMH-2000 – Aircrew Helmet and Headset Communications Tester
SLT-2000 – Advanced Strobe Light and Strobe Light Battery Tester
DMH-2000
Aircrew Helmet and Headset Communications Tester
The DMH-2000 Tester is a compact, hand-held, durable electronic communications equipment tester that delivers an instantaneous reading of the individual components of man-mounted communications equipment.
After plugging the communications system into the tester, each component is assigned a numerical value that directly corresponds to the manufacturer’s quality assurance standards for that particular item. By immediately isolating the problem component, replacement can be accomplished quickly and cost-effectively.
The DMH-2000 has repeatedly located and isolated discrepancies in communications systems such as low output earphone motors, overly sensitive dynamic microphones, frayed wires, and loose and corroded connections. The DMH-2000 Tester exceeds the testing requirements set forth in U.S. Air Force Technical Order 14P3-4-151, Helmet, Flyers, HGU-55/P. The Tester also provides a convenient audio talk-back feature.

SLT-2000
Advanced Strobe Light and Strobe Light Battery Tester
The SLT-2000 Tester is a compact, portable, durable PLC-based equipment tester that measures the performance of an aircraft’s current and future emergency strobe lights. Delivering an instantaneous reading via an LCD display, the SLT-2000 tests strobe light flash rate and battery performance. Additionally, the device generates “PASS/FAIL” indications based on performance value comparisons to pre-programmed acceptance parameters. The SLT-2000 tester exceeds the testing requirements set forth in U.S. Air Force Technical Order 14P3-4-112.
